Property Preparation Checklist
Please prepare your property for your Photography or Videography Session and/or 3D Virtual Tour Scan by preparing or “staging” it as if for open house or client visit. Your property will be captured “as-is” and while there may be post-processing options such as Virtual Staging available to you at additional cost, there is no post-processing available for Zillow 3D Homes Tours. Our 3D Virtual Tour Scans take 360 degree photos, so any items you do not want to appear in the 3D Tour must be hidden in a closet or garage.
See below for some of the tasks you may want to accomplish prior to your session:
Ensure property is clean and safe for your photographer
Remove vehicles and trash bins from the front of the home to provide an unobstructed street curbside view
Turn on all interior and exterior lights including lamps, under-counter lighting and stove lights, ensure all broken bulbs are replaced
Open all window coverings to allow maximum light and view of the outside from inside, unless the exterior view is undesirable. Blinds should all be at the same angle
Remove any confidential or other items you do not want included in your tour or photos
Remove any pets and people
Turn off all ceiling fans and other moving items
Switch off TVs
Put down all toilet seats, close doors to rooms with just the toilet in them
Clear countertops, sinks, floors and showers of clutter, including toiletries, dishes and sponges, trash cans, pet food bowls, and floor mats
Arrange furniture as desired
Open all doors to rooms you want included in your virtual tour
Unless requested, we will not shoot occupied walk-in closets or garages
Close doors to any areas you do not want included
Open and clean pool, turn on any desired water features, remove vacuum and hoses
Accomplish desired landscaping and exterior property preparation
If you would like your photographer to include any community amenities such as vehicle gate, park, pool, exercise room etc., please notify us in advance so we can schedule appropriately
